Dory Cote, Shamanic Practioner I am a Shamanic Healer trained and experienced in core shamanism. The goal of shamanic healing is to give you the tools to break free of what is not working for you in your life. In order to do that shamanic healing should place you on a healing path to access your own inner healing energy. I have an active, full time shamanic healing practice in Brunswick, Maine and my healing space is inviting, warm, spacious, private and comfortable. If you live far from Maine, I offer long distance healing services which are generally as effective as working in person. A long distance shamanic healing practitioner uses the same "tools" and guidance as she would if you were receving shamanic healing work in person. My training includes having completed a three-year program in advanced shamanism and shamanic healing with the Foundation for Shamanic Studies. I have also studied with several indigenous shamans and other well known shamans including Tom Cowan, Hank Wesselman, Ailo Gaup, Claude Poncelet, and Nan Moss & David Corbin. I was honored to be accepted into Sandra Ingerman’s Two-Year Teacher Training Program from which I graduated in 2005. As a result of this advanced teacher training, I am now able to offer workshops in advanced shamanic healing and advanced shamanism, as well as offering introductory courses. Thanks for visiting the Center for Earthlight Healing! For more information about me and my background, please click here to view my biography. |

The Shaman Crow Medicine Man Ever since the dawn of human history, tribes and communities have shamans. A shaman is a person who is profoundly aware that the world is alive with spirits and spiritual energy, and who does something with that knowledge. Shamans dedicate their lives to their vocation. They sacrifice themselves for their people and spend many years acquiring knowledge and skills that take even longer to comprehend. The word “Shaman” comes from the tradition of the Tingus tribe of Siberia, and means: "a healer and a magician." |
